Life in Limon #2 for the people of Nicaraqua may be spare but the love of family and home are as robust and joyful as any place on earth.

Just down the road from Una Escuelita is Rancho Santa a world class resort hotel, 5 star restaurant with properties overlooking the Pacific.  Promising jobs and hope for the people nearby, this development has bet millions on the future of this spectacular part of the world.

In spite of the world class investment in resorts, however, the people are succeeding with limited resources and rudimentary transportation.

The promise for the next generation is strong as children are treasured more than anything else.  The community of Limon #2 is eager to grow, learn and experience what the rest of the world has seen in the last hundred years.

Pope has been busy this last year building the school, getting to know the locals and learning how to negotiate for goods and services for the school.  He has found some marvelous things for our school from the locals made from indigenous materials by artisans of all kind. 
From woodworking to pottery and art, the people of Nicaraqua are skilled and talented in many ways.
